We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build and scale the Python services that power Shipwell's transportation management platform. This is a senior individual contributor role, fully remote from Brazil, working closely with a distributed engineering team.

• Design, build and maintain backend services and APIs in Python

• Model and evolve data structures that support high volume logistics workflows

• Write automated tests and contribute to code quality standards across the codebase

• Review pull requests and mentor mid level engineers on backend best practices

• Collaborate with product, frontend and data teams to scope and deliver features

• Monitor, debug and optimize performance and reliability of production systems

• Participate in technical discussions and help shape backend architecture decisions

Requisitos

• Solid professional experience as a backend engineer working primarily with Python

• Strong experience building and consuming RESTful APIs

• Proficiency with relational databases and SQL, including query optimization

• Experience with cloud environments and containerized deployments

• Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and version control workflows

• Ability to work autonomously in a distributed, asynchronous team

• Professional English, written and spoken, for daily collaboration with a US based team
